Cocktails We Think You Should Be Trying
We’re excited to spend the holidays catching up with friends over drinks. We’ve found 3 recipes we really love and hope you have a chance to try them out over the next few weeks. We pair scotch with ginger and lemon, mix tequila with jalapenos and mix rum with coconut milk and pomegranate!
Fresh ginger 5 x 1 inch pieces peeled
1 cup water
½ cup honey
½ cup lemon juice
Dash of cayenne pepper
Pinch of salt
6 oz. of blended scotch
In a blender, puree ginger and water; strain the juice into a bowl and throw out the solids.
Whisk honey, lemon juice, cayenne and salt into the ginger mixture. Stir in blended scotch. Serve over ice.
Grapefruit Ranch Water
1/3 cup pink grapefruit juice
3 tbsp. simple syrup
1 ½ oz. of spiced tequila
Sliced jalapeno and grapefruit wedges for garnish
Spread salt on a flat plate. Dip rim of glass in water, then in salt
Fill glass with ice, top with grapefruit juice, simple syrup and tequila, stir
Top with sparkling water and garnish with grapefruit wedges and slices of jalapenos
White Christmas Mojito
Juice of 1 lime
8 mint leaves
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons white rum
1 tablespoon coconut rum
¼ cup canned coconut milk
Muddle lime juice, sugar and mint leaves. Fill glass with ice
In a blender, combine white rum, coconut rum, and coconut milk and pulse until smooth. Pour over ice and stir to combine. Top with sparkling water, mint and pomegranate seeds.
