Keratin Treatments - An Honest Review!
I have a very vivid memory of a comment my cousin once made about my hair. I was at a sleepover, we were about 14 years old. We had just finished a swim and my hair had air dried.
“Oh my gosh, your hair looks like a pile of dried wheat!” she said.
I looked at it and yeah, it really did. I somehow wasn’t aware of how difficult my hair really was until that moment. My curly, frizzy, dry hair that needed a ton of maintenance to look decent before heading out anywhere, that’s just how it was.
I remember instances not too long ago of attending summer weddings and events where humidity would come into play. It’s like the salon style I had paid for hadn’t even happened. My hair immediately turned into a frizzy, dry, tangled mess. I looked unpolished.
I’m not really one for screaming the virtues of something unless it produces real results. Trends come and go and I get excited about them too, but unless something actually alters my life for the better, I won’t write about it.
Today I am going to share details on a hair treatment that has made an absolutely incredible difference in my life. It was something recommended to me by my stylist Somboun, at Grace Hill Salon.
I’ve been seeing her for years and she knows exactly how difficult may hair can be to work with. When she recommended the Kerasilk Keratin Treatment, I agreed to try it. I wasn’t sure what to expect but she’s never wrong when it comes to my hair and so we went for it.
I walked out of her salon that day, a new person. And I know that might sound silly, because it is hair after all, but I am telling you this treatment is an absolute GAME CHANGER.
I have hair that I didn’t know was possible. I have hair that looks and feels like what celebrities have. It is smooth, it is silky, it is SUPER easy to style, it is so low maintenance - I just cannot believe it. I can blow dry my hair, with zero product and a round brush, and it looks professional. It’s unreal.
NO FRIZZ! My hair feels super healthy and the treatment has 100% helped prevent breakage. I can tell by the drastic decrease in hair that is left in the shower and on the floor after I blow dry.
The treatment lasts 3-5 months and is incredibly reasonable considering you won’t be spending as much time on your hair or as much money on product, I guarantee it.
I really encourage any of you out there that deal with frizzy, hard to manage hair to look into this treatment. It really will change your life! I know Somboun would be pleased to answer your questions if you want to learn more.
